Stand out from the Crowd

There are thousands, perhaps millions, of people in the world who need more fulfilling lives. They may be working hard every day at a job that they feel like they have to stick with because they need the money to pay their bills. They may be unemployed for any number of a thousand reasons and are on the verge of losing their place to live. They also may be a struggling internet or network marketer that is convinced that if they could just “figure it out”, then they could finally have that dream of financial freedom.

 So lets just say that you are a member of that last group. How can you stand out from the crowd and present yourself as someone that would be good to work with? Well the answer, my friends, is to slow down and relax. Forget about that fast “viral” you tube video that will start funneling thousands of dollars into your bank account overnight. Or that “get rich quick” scheme that you just heard about from the internet guru who has showed you his click bank accounts of $27,000 that he made just yesterday.

 What will work for you is the same method that has worked for successful networkers and salespeople for decades. And that is to communicate with one person and work on building a trusting relationship. Ask them what they want in their life. Ask them who they would like to become. Ask them what they would like to do and where they would like to go. Ask them what movies that like to watch, books they like to read, and music they like to listen to. Get to know them and tell them the same things about yourself. If you spend time doing this, then it will give far better results than any other activity you can do to help build your business. Become someone that truly cares about other people. By helping others succeed you will succeed. By mastering the art of relationship building, you will truly be well on your way to a fulfilling and joyful life.

My Spiritual Entity

The most important work that I need to continue doing is my meditation practice and my quest for a higher spirit. By focusing on my higher inner being and consistently reminding myself that I am fundamentally a spiritual entity temporarily occupying a human form, then I can achieve the proper balance between spiritual enlightenment and material success. Yes, I can definitely work on both, simultaneously. However, never lose sight of the fact that my spiritual work is, by far, the most important.

Making Money from Home

These are some of the google searches that
I have been doing lately. There is a huge number
of web-pages that can be found using these
keywords.

I have been searching for a good home-based
business for years and have never found anything
that works. I have tried various Network Marketing
companies, Affiliate Marketing, and e-mail
campaigns.

After spending money, time and a huge amount
of energy, I have always gone back to my old
standard, carpentry and home repair.

Well, folks, this time I am not going to give up.
This time I am going to keep trying until I
succeed. It is as simple as that !!!

Becoming a Photopainter

I have been thinking about what I should call my new art work style.
Since it combines photography and oil painting I think "Photopainting"
would work.

So, I could use "Photopaint" to describe the process of creating a
"Photopainting".Now, through most of my money-making years I have been
a carpenter. So, in this new era of my life I shall become a "Photopainter".

Of course, I realize that I am much more than a mere carpenter or a
photopainter. I am actually a divine spirit of the cosmos temporarily
occupying a human form. And on this level of thought simply "to Be" is all
that is necessary for happiness and fulfillment. Unfortunately, I also must
continue to sustain this "human form" by supplying it with food and shelter.
So, this brings me back to the mundane process of "money-making".

I have never had much success in saving money. I pretty much have
simply worked for wages. And as I have worked, I never really gave much
importance to the idea of "Retirement". Living for the moment with no real
thought for the future always seemed the best approach. And, I must say,
there are many advantages in thinking this way, especially when I was in
my 20's, 30's, 40's, and even my 50's.

Lately, this approach to life has been far from perfect. Now that I have
reached my 64th year I have been thinking of other lifestyles that I would
have never even considered in the past. This brings me back to my
transformation to a photopainter.

Now, in my new "Life Vision", instead of getting up in the morning and
preparing to go out in the world with my carpentry tools and thoughts of how
to solve the specific problems of the current building project, I see this
process changing fundamentally.

As a newly transformed photopainter I have a much more creative
approach to my day. I will do my morning meditation, my stretching
exercises,and then proceed to my daily morning walk. On my walk,
I will think about which photograph will become my next project.
I will consider the last photopainting and which techniques and color
patterns that I have found that appeals to my most creative thoughts
and actions. I will also factor in my customer base and if their are
any pending orders that need to be finished before starting on any new
projects. After deciding on my focus for the day,I will walk back to
my studio and create my next masterpiece.

I am writing these thoughts as a way of promoting my new
"Photopainting Business".In order for this "Transformation" to occur
I will need help from as many new customers that I can find.
I firmly believe that not only is this new life-style
possible for me, but it will also become an inspirational
story for anybody who desires a transformation in their life.

Considering the temperature this morning here in Sonoma County
at 30 degrees, I thought it appropriate for me to display one
of my 2012 photopaintings that I have named "Cascade Lake".
I took the photograph several years ago in February from the
Emerald Bay Highway in the Lake Tahoe basin. I hope you enjoy it.

Pure Art

Great art is like all creative processes. It must originate from the
spirit within. To work at and practice meditation is similar. Any other
attempt to create art without this basic foundation is fruitless.

When I have done my best work, the time passes very quickly. I am
completely immersed in the project at hand. It is almost like I am only
a small part in the creation, I only provide the most basic tools, everything
else is done for me. I am an empty vessel that the magic waters of
the creative universe fills.

As an artist, my ultimate desire is to enter into this wondrous state as
frequently as possible. And, in many ways, everything I do is directed
towards being and becoming this wonder.

Not long ago, I was given a birthday present. It was a very inciteful book
entitled, "The Gift" by Lewis Hyde. It is partly an historic account of the
nature of gift giving. The author provides references to many ancient
cultures who used the acts of gift-giving to promote and sustain the
community from within.

The nature of pure art is best described as a gift from the universe. It is
given to the artist who can enter into this "state of wonder" thereby allowing
natural forces to take over in it's creation.

I have recently been attempting to create high quality oil paintings that
surround photographic prints on canvas. I am becoming increasingly
addicted to the process involved in their creations. In fact, at this point
of my life of 64 years, I can easily say that this activity is beginning to
transform me. It is almost like all of my years before has simply been a
curious wandering around of events and cicumstances that has finally
led me to this transformative time. I am very grateful for this realization.
